We recently published a three-part series on the Loire Valley of France. One of those features was on Muscadet, which is one of our very favorite white wines to drink at home. If you recall we spoke about some very special Muscadets which can age for 15-20 years and today's highly allocated wines are amongst them. These new releases just arrived and we couldn't be more thrilled.

We've been waiting patiently for our allocation of the world-class Domaine de la Pépière Clisson Muscadet Sèvre et Maine. This cuvée is from a very small parcel of 50 to 110 year-old vines within the Pépière vineyard. "Clisson" is the top cuvee from Domaine Pépière and offers attractive forward fruit for early drinking as well as firm structure for aging of fifteen to twenty years or more with most top vintages like 2017.

The stunning Clisson is a MUST BUY for serious wine buyers of top Loire estate wines. 28 cases were imported into Massachusetts and we only have two of them so we're going to have to limit this offer to two bottles per customer.

Domaine de la Pépière Clisson Muscadet Sèvre et Maine 2017

The 2017 is sensational. It's subtle, refined and incredibly elegant, and at the same time dense and powerful, yet with only 12.5 % alcohol. Aromas of citrus, herb, stone and almond make way for beautiful ripeness, density and weight. This delicate wine has intense mineral flavors with a long finish. Serve with oysters, seafood and roast chicken.

We have another beautiful and highly allocated Muscadet from Luneau-Papin. Only 28 cases were imported into Massachusetts and we are in possession of three of them. Again, we're going to have to limit this offer to two bottles per customer.
