2012's Highest Scoring Barolo
The other day a wine rep stopped by the store with some Italian wines to sample. We were rather busy and we weren't really in the mood for an unscheduled tasting. However, when we saw the nature of the wines in front of us, we relented. One sip and our mood changed instantly.
Out of those wines we tasted, we selected an absolutely sublime Barolo, the stuff of which dreams are made. If you don't believe us, then just check out the press below.

Pio Cesare's straight Barolo doesn't seem to get the attention or spotlight it deserves, but it has truly been one of Piedmont's under the radar jewels for some time. "Very closed but pure nose offers currant, marzipan, mocha and a whiff of truffle. Quite sweet on the front half and almost surprisingly round and opulent.
